Funny that I was thinking about this earlier.

To be technical, marriage started because of FAMILY.

To keep the human race going.

It’s an institution.  A commitment.  Not to love, but to beginning a family, creating life.

Marriage never used to be about love at all really (see our history and prearranged marriage, etc)

Our culture and society have morphed it into something different.
And I’m not saying it is a bad thing to now say that marriage is about love.
But I hate people who don’t know all sides of an issue and just assume they do.

Unpopular fact: The Church doesn’t necessarily oppose gay marriage; it opposes gay sex.  Just like it opposes premarital sex, birth control, etc.  All based upon the same premise.
